I’m a long time reader of Street Machine; I started reading it as a teen back in the Eighties. It’s now really interesting to read about the feature cars of the past. I’m surprised at how many I remember from way back then, especially as, most of the time, I can’t remember what I did last weekend.
There was a time when every inch of my bedroom wall and ceiling were covered with photos and centrefolds from Street Machine and Custom Car. The addition of the scantily clad models alongside the cars was always a ‘Brucie’ (Although my Mum wasn’t too convinced at the time…). It’s great to see that some of your new features include models again. Please keep it up. I feel like I’ve been transported back in time more often than Marty McFly.
Thanks for a great mag and for making me laugh out loud at your editorials and comments. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

P.S. I own a 1969 Buick Skylark Coupe, 1973 Ford Econoline shorty panel van, and a 2003 Vespa PX, which I’ve owned since new. That’s not quite in your domain, but I’ve got to offset my fuel bill and carbon footprint somehow.
Thanks for the kind words, Jon, and Happy New Year to you, too! OK, hands up, how many of you out there also had bedrooms decorated with SM and CC centrefolds? Yes, my hand is up. Most of the posters stayed up until they were sun-bleached into greyness. And don’t apologise for the Vespa, Jon; it leaves more fuel for the Buick and the van! DS, SM
