Dear SM,

Happy 40th birthday for this year! Here are some photos I took at Battersea Park in 1979, at the Street Machine London To Brighton Run. I was 14 at the time, and took them on a Box Brownie camera. Hope you like them!

Amazing. These are scans of a photocopy of some pictures taken 40 years ago on a 50-year-old-plus camera… and they still look cool! Does anybody recognise the cars? That chopped MkII Zephyr is pretty distinctive, not to mention the straight-six powered T and the Moggy pick-ups. And who was that suffering loss of traction action in a flamed’n’side-piped El Camino?! DS, SM
